Indulge in the unbeatable comfort of tender, smoky pulled pork that practically falls apart with every forkful. Our Effortless Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork takes minimal effort and delivers maximum flavor, making it a go-to dish for any occasion.

Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds pork shoulder or pork butt
  • 1 onion ((medium))
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water (chicken broth for more flavor!)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • buns/bread for serving
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix together paprika, chili powder, cumin, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to create a spice rub.

  2. Rub the spice mixture over the pork shoulder, ensuring it's well coated.

  3. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.

  4. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.

  5. Pour in the BBQ sauce and chicken broth (or water) around the pork.

  6. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is fork-tender and easily pulls apart.

  7. Carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  8. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.

  9. Serve the pulled pork on buns or sliders, drizzled with extra BBQ sauce. Add coleslaw or pickles for an extra layer of flavor.
